WHY CHIROPRACTIC?

While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Dr. Kara was on her own personal health journey. She started submerging herself into health and wellness books while making drastic lifestyle changes to improve her overall health and quality of life. After graduating, she would vacation and visit some friends she had out in California who were getting their chiropractic education. While on these trips, Dr. Kara always found herself having such in-depth and educational conversations about health and wellness, which quickly lead her to become quite fascinated with chiropractic. After returning home from one particular trip, Dr. Kara started researching chiropractic as a career and decided that she needed to follow her heart and make a career change that aligned more with her current passion and lifestyle.

Fast forward a few more years and Dr. Kara was now starting a family of her own while finishing up her chiropractic education. It was during this vital time that she realized she had such a strong passion for helping women and particularly those who were pregnant. While receiving perinatal care herself, she saw multiple gaps and problems in the healthcare system that needed to be filled. After all, moms absolutely deserve the best care during this critical and transformative time in their lives. This lead Dr. Kara to start focusing her career in perinatal and postpartum care.

With moms comes babies! Boy was her world rocked after she had her first son. Dr. Kara thought so much of what she was going through was “normal” because several healthcare professionals told her that (sadly). Having a very fussy baby that was nursing around the clock (literally on the breast for eight hours some days), she just knew something wasn’t right. Dr. Kara took her son to a pediatric chiropractor and this was life changing for them. After this experience, Dr. Kara knew that she wanted to help babies and most importantly help moms enjoy their time with their babies. So once again, she found myself researching and learning about all things babies and chiropractic.

Here she is today with a family chiropractic clinic focusing in perinatal, postpartum and pediatric care. Dr. Kara could not be more thrilled to serve this population and she looks forward to going into the office each day to start changing lives one at a time.
